Meet David who recently purchased a 2-bedroom residence at 661 Chapel St. David had been considering downsizing for some time however he was also willing to wait for the right apartment to come up. Four years later he made the decision to purchase and hasn’t looked back.

What attracted you to 661 Chapel St?
The views are absolutely magnificent and the apartment design really maximises on aspect. Quality is a key factor. I was initially attracted by the architect, interior designer and builder names that are amongst Melbourne’s best. The building is a winner of the Good Design Award for architecture and feels very liveable.

What category buyer type do you identify as?
I’m a downsizer, looking for a convenient inner-city location. Security and modern amenities are also important. I love that natural light floods through the interiors and that the design is quite timeless. I can see myself here, just as happy in ten years as I am today.

Was location a factor in your decision?
My search was quite widespread however in the end, it became an easy decision based on the lifestyle that this area offers. There’s immediate access to everything; from places to dine to shops and cinemas – not to mention all the green outdoor areas nearby and the Yarra River. You don’t need the car, and although the trains and trams are right here, I find myself walking everywhere.

Now that you are living at 661 Chapel St, what do you enjoy most?
There’s a friendly, neighbourly feeling about living here. The owners really get to know each other. I’d often read that residents’ amenities are a wasted space however, the amenities at 661 Chapel St have been so thoughtfully designed and easy to use that you’ll often meet residents in these areas as well as being able to use them to entertain friends. Having a concierge adds another layer of security and luxury to the building.
